One day, a timid cat found herself on the chilly floor of a building, until a compassionate neighbor came to her rescue and transformed her world. This fortunate feline was taken in by Little Wanderers NYC.

Earlier this year, a lovely gray and white cat was left all alone on the first floor of a building. Despite being cold and hungry, nobody came to rescue her for days.
“She was shivering and hungry, trying her best to keep warm by snuggling up under the radiator in the corner. Poor thing, it was not much help,” shared Little Wanderers NYC. “Luckily, one of our volunteers had a relative living in the building, so the cat was fortunate to be noticed. We decided to name her Fortune.”
Feeling scared and unsure who to trust, the cat stayed hidden in the corner, too afraid to come out. Thankfully, a kind neighbor stayed by her side until help arrived.

Once the volunteer arrived, they took in the cat, provided her with food, kept her cozy, and reached out to their rescue organization for support.
Upon being brought in from the harsh cold, Fortune quickly began to relax. She curled up in a loaf position on a blanket next to her rescuer, purring contentedly.
After a few days, she was taken in by LittleWanderersNYC and finally felt safe and warm. She was grateful that she was no longer alone and that help had arrived.
Fortune found herself in a comfortable apartment with a foster family. She happily settled on the floor, kneading the air with her paws, and filling the room with her joyful purring.
