A feline that resided in a container made of cardboard finally understands the sensation of being snug.
During the previous summer, Marcy’s family was evicted from their home and left her behind to fend for herself. She found shelter in a nearby neighbor’s yard by taking refuge in an old cardboard box where she lived for several months. However, in December, someone discovered her and decided that she could no longer live outside.
Rebecca McGinn was celebrating her niece’s birthday at her brother’s house when he mentioned that a cat had been living in his yard. Rebecca went outside to see if she could approach the cat and was immediately smitten with Marcy.
The moment McGinn laid eyes on Marcy, a sick and homeless cat, she knew she had to take her home. McGinn shared with The Dodo that upon discovering Marcy in a damp cardboard box, visibly shivering and with sore eyes, she made the decision to adopt her right then and there. Marcy, who was incredibly sweet and affectionate, approached McGinn for pets as soon as she saw her.
When McGinn first took in Marcy, the poor dog was in a sorry state. The vet diagnosed her with various health issues, including eye problems, worms, pneumonia, a lung infection, and skin problems leading to hair loss. Despite the long road to recovery ahead, McGinn was excited to give Marcy the love and comfort of a cozy home. Luckily, Marcy settled right in, snuggling up for days on end.
Marcy, who has gone through a lot, is now delighted to have comfortable and snug spots to rest on. She has developed an addiction to everything that is warm and cozy.
According to McGinn, Marcy’s favorite activity is to snuggle with her and her partner. The soft blankets and people are what she adores the most. Being tucked in and covered up in soft blankets is her favorite thing to do and she spends 99 percent of her time doing it.
Marcy has become quite the pro at discovering comfortable spots to rest, whether it be snuggled up in a pile of pillows and blankets, or nestled inside a cardboard box with a curious feline companion. Her affinity for cozy napping locations shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
Marcy is absolutely in love with her fresh start and even after facing challenges, she remains a genuinely kind and dependable person. Although her past may have been tough, she has discovered a wonderful new family who will go to great lengths to ensure her happiness and comfort for as long as she lives.
According to McGinn, she possesses the most endearing and affectionate demeanor. She has a tendency to stick to people closely and cherishes all forms of attention. She radiates warmth and trust towards everyone around her.
