Jon Bozak already had a dog and was not interested in getting another one. But one morning, on his way to work, he stumbled upon a pit bull puppy that had been callously abandoned on the side of the road, near a school yard in New York.

As he was wandering around, Jon came across a small pit bull and decided to help find its owners. He spent an entire month putting up flyers and telling people about the lost pet, hoping that someone was searching for it. Throughout this time, the dog remained by his side with a smile that seemed to hint at a secret waiting to be discovered by Jon.

At the end of thirty days, nobody came forward to claim the dog that Jon had found, so he decided to name him Brinks. Over that time, Jon had developed a strong affection for Brinks and it appeared to be mutual, judging by the broad grin on the dog’s face.

Ever since Jon met Brinks, the friendly white and brown pup has been sporting a constant, infectious grin. Their bond has lasted for over a decade, with Brinks flashing his big smile everywhere they go. However, according to Jon, there’s only one occasion where Brinks’ smile fades – when Jon cracks a bad joke. A video of the pair confirms this, as Brinks looks almost ashamed for his owner.
