San Bernardino’s Cats is a rescue group that operates as a non-profit organisation. One day, they received a report from a lady regarding a senior cat. This feline had been loitering around an apartment complex for more than a year, and the woman had noticed that it appeared to be unwell. She believed something needed to be done to help the cat. Upon arriving at the complex, the rescue team discovered the cat, who goes by the name Phoenix, was not wild but had likely been abandoned by its previous owner who had moved out.
The furry creature was quite amicable and didn’t seem to have any issue with physical contact, but his appearance was quite alarming. He had lost a significant amount of hair from his face and looked like he had been exposed to the elements for a long time. Not only was he unwell, but he also seemed to be feeling low, which was most likely due to being abandoned by his owners. However, with a little TLC, he started to recover and before long, he was soon looking as attractive as ever.
Phoenix was struggling with depression, preferring to keep to himself and steer clear of the rest of the cats. Ruby and her littermates were discovered in a backyard, but Ruby initially had trouble feeding and her survival was uncertain. However, Ruby eventually rallied and began feeding from a bottle, ultimately making a full recovery.
The team behind Cats of San Bernardino deserves commendation for their excellent work. They must feel elated with the recent breakthrough of Phoenix, who has finally found a lifelong companion after being timid for so long.
