A little kitty with an adorable “grumpy” expression wandered into a woman’s house and eventually transformed into a tiny feline with a massive personality.

A group of kittens were in need of foster care when they were taken to the Carroll County Humane Society in Tennessee. One of the kittens, who was significantly smaller than the others, was born with dwarfism. Michelle Roberts, a foster volunteer, noticed that the runt of the litter had a distinctive “grumpy cat” face and weighed less than her siblings. Despite Widget’s small size and unusual appearance, Michelle was eager to foster her and her siblings. When Widget first met Michelle, she gave her a disapproving look that immediately caught Michelle’s attention.

According to Michelle Roberts, she fell in love with Widget at first sight even before meeting her. After finally seeing her in person, she was completely taken by her charm. While Widget’s littermates grew rapidly over the next 1-2 weeks, she made slow but steady progress each day. Widget’s distinct frowning expression became more noticeable, and her sassy personality started to shine through.

Widget was fond of cuddling with her foster mom, although her expression didn’t show it. She enjoyed being pampered like royalty and was adored by Michelle Roberts increasingly with each passing day. After a few weeks, all of Widget’s siblings found their forever homes. As Widget’s foster parent, Michelle was given the priority to adopt her.
