Heartbroken England Players Bid Farewell to Each Other at Airport After Rollercoaster Month Concludes with Euro 2024 Final Loss

At Stansted Airport, the sad celebrities of England have given each other one last embrace before bidding farewell.

After losing to Spain 2-1 in the Euro 2024 final, Gareth Southgate and his team did not waste any time getting back to the UK from Germany.

After losing to Spain 2-1 in the Euro 2024 final, players were earlier seen departing the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Berlin.

With a beer in one hand, Gareth Southgate waved to the fans who had gathered to cheer on the squad.

The hotel staff also praised the England players and staff as they walked out of Berlin with pride.

The boss, whose future as England’s manager is still up in the air, set the example for his players as they started their journey back to England.

He said, “It’s not the right time for me to talk about that,” when someone inquired about his future. I need to give myself some space and speak with the appropriate individuals.

“It was an honor to have the chance to advance to another final. But right now, it’s difficult to come up short.”

While Southgate and Harry Kane bravely waved to the supporters, a few of players were stunned.

Despite his suffering, Phil Foden waved and appeared visibly distressed.

John Stones was trying to board the bus without making a scene, so he kept his hood up.

As they boarded the bus, people like Luke Shaw and Bukayo Saka appeared dissatisfied.

While supporters greeted the team at the hotel in Berlin, English supporters will not get to see them when they return home to London.

The FA released a statement confirming the choice to fly privately, saying that “England’s players and staff will be travelling back on a charter flight.”

“And there won’t be a chance for the general people to welcome them upon their arrival as they will depart the airport via a private terminal.

“We thank you, our incredible fans, for all of your support throughout the tournament.”

The Three Lions’ hopes were dashed as they lost the Euro final for the second time in a row.

A minute into the second half, Nico Williams of Spain opened the score after teen star Lamine Yamal placed the ball onto him.

The game saw a brief burst of English activity following Cole Palmer’s equalizer in the 73rd minute.

But Mikel Oyarzabal’s header from a Marc Cucurella cross in the 86th minute meant late heartache for the Three Lions.

Late in the game, Dani Olmo cleared Marc Guehi’s header off the line as England attempted to equalize, but the Three Lions were eventually just unsuccessful.
