At the Venice Film Festival’s premiere of Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon, Kate Hudson stole the show. Even though all eyes were on her, she only had eyes for Ana Lily Amirpour’s cute dog. While walking down the red carpet, Kate stopped to pet the adorable pooch despite the risk of damaging her beautiful red tulle gown. The actress looked stunning and effortlessly chic throughout the event.
Kate Hudson, aged 42, made a cute gesture when she stopped to give director Ana Amirpour’s dog a friendly pet during the red carpet stroll at the premiere of Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon on Sunday evening. The furry pup appeared to be a mix of pug and terrier and even stood up on its hind legs to play with the actress. Later on, the adorable dog posed for a picture alongside Kate, Ana, Craig Robinson, and Ed Skrein, who are all part of the cast for the movie. Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon has been nominated for Best Film at the 78th Annual Venice Film Festival which is ongoing from September 1-11, 2021. The film was completed in July 2021 after shooting began in July 2019. This year’s festival has marked the return of star-studded red carpet premieres after being scaled down due to Covid last year.
The previous year’s event had fewer attendees due to social distancing measures. Mandatory temperature checks and mask wearing were also implemented during the red carpet arrivals. This year’s festival has returned, but is still strictly following Covid guidelines due to an increase in cases in Italy. The public is not allowed access to the red carpet, and there are more than 10 testing stations set up.
Before entering the screening room, all participants are required to provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test or proof of vaccination. Moreover, it is mandatory to wear masks while indoors. The featured movie “Mona Lisa” revolves around a young lady with exceptional abilities who flees from a mental institution and endeavors to survive on her own in New Orleans, with Kate playing a role in the film. The film has garnered enormous anticipation as it has been nominated for the prestigious Best Film award at the festival held from 1-11 September, with Jeon Jong-seo also featuring in the movie.
