The Stray Rescue of St. Louis expressed grief over the unfortunate incident that took place in the city. This was after they received an injured female dog who had been shot and needed urgent medical attention. The rescuers gave her the name Princess Rosie. Although she was lucky enough to have escaped a serious facial injury, her front legs were severely affected by the gunshot.
The St. Louis Stray Rescue reported on their Facebook page that every leg of the rescued animal had been shot “at least once.”
The folks at Stray Rescue of St. Louis shared that a poor pooch they rescued had some pretty serious injuries. Both of her front legs were affected, with one having three broken bones and the other a small fracture. To make matters worse, they were also infected, indicating that a lengthy recovery process was in store for her.
The team at Stray Rescue of St. Louis is happy to report that Rosie’s surgery was successful and she has made a full recovery. Her broken legs were expertly set in casts, and within a week, she was back on her feet. However, a heartbreaking mystery remains: as an emergency case, Rosie arrived at the shelter without her puppies. The team has no idea where her babies could be, and unfortunately, they were told that they had already been sold. This news is devastating, but the Stray Rescue team remains hopeful that the young pups are old enough to survive without their mother and are being well cared for.
After a couple of weeks of receiving treatment, the Stray Rescue organization made a heartwarming statement: “Princess Rosie is one of the kindest canines you’ll ever meet.”
The Stray Rescue of St. Louis reported that a furry friend had to be put under sedation for a bandage change. However, the adorable pup was seen dozing off in the arms of her caretaker still holding onto her beloved watermelon toy.
The Stray Rescue of St. Louis is in search of a foster parent for a sweet dog who needs to recuperate after being shot in both her front legs. They are hoping to find someone who can provide her with a cozy and comfortable environment to heal. To add a touch of fun, they suggest dressing up the dog as a unicorn for Halloween to attract the perfect caregiver.
The Stray Rescue of St. Louis has been facing difficulties in finding foster caregivers for their rescues. Currently, Princess Rosie is still in need of a foster family as of October 27. To give her a break from the shelter life, the rescue collaborated with a local helper and took her out for a night on the town. The rescue’s Clinic Caregiver, Molly, busted her out of the shelter and together they enjoyed a luxurious stay at the Angad Arts Hotel. Princess Rosie was thrilled with the experience, and the rescue shared some cute photos of her having a blast during her hotel stay.
The Stray Rescue of St. Louis was recently thanked by Molly for giving Princess Rosie and her a wonderful time. Despite being shot by someone, Princess Rosie was the kindest dog and enjoyed cuddling all night. Molly hopes that the photos taken during their time together will help find Princess Rosie a loving forever home.
The Stray Rescue of St. Louis is currently searching for a comfortable foster home for a sweet animal who deserves a good rest, just like she enjoyed last night!
