Canines with disabilities or medical conditions often face a bleak future. They are frequently at risk of being put down or abandoned by owners who don’t want to deal with their special needs. However, if a dog isn’t in pain, they should get the opportunity to live and be cherished like any other dog. One disabled dog was given a second chance and is now not only thriving but also the “happiest dog in the world!”
In 2016, Jennifer Osborne saw Moose, a very unique-looking dog with a permanent grin and big underbite, in a pet store. She learned that Moose had a congenital medical abnormality that resulted in missing brain parts. This caused his nose to be pushed into his skull, resulting in an underbite, crooked nose, deformed skull, deformed brain, and eye problems. According to Metro, Jennifer immediately fell in love with Moose and was concerned that he would be euthanized due to his medical problems if he was in the wrong hands. As a result, she adopted him herself, providing Moose with a secure home.
Jennifer knew that taking care of Moose would be a challenging journey due to his medical conditions. The poor dog suffered from frequent seizures that affected both his body and brain. Jennifer shared that during these episodes, Moose’s body would start twitching, and he would foam at the mouth. In an effort to understand the extent of his health problems, Jennifer took Moose for an MRI, which revealed distressing results. According to the test, Moose had no forehead or sinuses, and there was a cyst in the area where parts of his brain were missing. Although his front brain was compressed, the rest of his brain was functioning well. Moose’s neurological condition was so rare that his neurologist had never witnessed it before. Jennifer documented this unique case on her Instagram page.
After learning that her dog would suffer from seizures for the rest of his life, Jennifer discovered that medication could help manage the condition without compromising his life expectancy. Despite the challenges ahead, she remains thankful to have Moose in her life and is amazed by his resilient and happy nature. In an interview with Metro, Jennifer expressed her gratitude for Moose’s survival and referred to him as a “miracle.”
Moose’s cheerful demeanor never fails to bring a smile to Jennifer’s face. She considers him a true gift in her life and is grateful for his constant presence. Moose’s unbridled happiness is infectious and it’s no wonder he’s become the happiest dog Jennifer has ever encountered.
It brings us immense joy to see Moose thriving and enjoying his life to the fullest. Stay updated with Moose’s cheerful escapades by following him on Instagram. Let’s spread this heartening tale!
